Lil’Bigfoot booksighting…er…SIGNing

Lil’Bigfoot and Scott Cunningham can be SIGHTED at a book-SIGNING . The BOOKSIGNING event for the freshly published READING WITH PICTURES anthology has Lil’ Bigfoot’s latest story and will be held at FORBIDDEN PLANET , 840 Broadway, N.Y., N.Y. Lil’ Bigfoot will return SOON!

We know it’s been quite a wait BUT…Lil’ Bigfoot will be back again SOON with a whole new look. The REAL news is that he we have been working on an anthology series called READING WITH PICTURES which is all about getting comics into the schools. What could be cooler than THAT? We will give you more details about that as soon as possible!

The other news is that the website is due for a renewal so be ready for NEW LBF adventures as well as a whole new look.

Merry Christmas to ALL from Li’l Bigfoot!

LBF attends KIDS’ COMIC CON 2009

This year’s KIDS’ COMIC CON 2009 on APRIL 25th looks pretty exciting and so Lil’ Bigfoot creator, SCOTT CUNNINGHAM, will be going! Co-creator, PHILLIP PITTZ, wishes he could go…but…as usual… swimming all the way from Japan to New York would not only be tiring, but make him very wrinkled.

MAD KIDS — ENDING!

WHAT ME WORRY?
ME WORRY LOT!
Sad MAD News

Having contributed to both MAD MAGAZINE and MAD Kids in the past, it saddens us to learn that yet another great publication has hit upon hard times.

According to MAD publishers…

“…these are very difficult times for print magazines and newspapers. A crumbling distribution system and competition from the internet for both readers and ads are wreaking havoc on the industry, including MAD.

Today [January 23, 2009] MAD will announce that it will become a quarterly with issue #500 (on sale April 28). Issue #501 will follow on August 18, #502 on November 17 and so forth. The magazine will increase in size from 48 to 56 pages and its cover price will rise to $5.99

MAD Kids will go on sale with its last issue February 17 and MAD Classics will follow with its last issue on March 17.

These are extraordinarily difficult and unprecedented times. I promise you that I and the entire MAD team are working to explore new opportunities for MAD in all media. “

MAD KIDS WILL CERTAINLY BE MISSED!
BUT WHAT WILL FILL THE GAP?!

Hopefully, fans of the magazine will find fun comics like Lil’ Bigfoot available for FREE on the net! So please check out our comic every week, and be sure to follow our links to other great strips perfect for Mad Kid readers! We’re planning to add more links to other comics as the weeks go by so be sure to browse our selection on a regular basis. Scott would also like to thank, in particular, Mad editor Jonathan Bresman – who has been a really great guy to work with over the years! Kudos to Jon and Alfred!!!
